Ringo Starr - the "puginese"
Ringo came to NIPRA from Chicago animal care & control where he was supposedly an owner surrender. We think he may be a pug/peke mix because of his long body & fuzzy fur (what fur he has!). He's suffering from a case of demodectic mange & secondary skin infections but his foster mom will have him fixed up & healthy in no time. She's got plenty of experience with this sort of thing. He's a cutie, for sure!

poor guy! In my non-expert opinion, I agree with the pug-peke mix. I had a foster who looked a lot like him, and that's what she was.
Hope he's all fixed up in a jiffy - love and care!

Ouch, that looks like it is painful for him. Can't wait to see him when he is all fixed up.

The shelter said that the former owners told them that he's 7 months old. Judging by his teeth, etc. - that's probably correct. His foster mom had to bathe him three times when she got him home from the shelter just to get all of the "ooze" off from him before she took these pictures. I can't imagine what he looked like before.

Oh, dear, that's a poor sore paw - quite apart from the rest of him.
Poor little chap. But how cute is he - and being so young, I'm sure he'll find a loving home very soon.
