Nasty belching.
I'll preface this by saying Matilda is healthy, active and at a great weight. She (and BBBob) eat Natural Balance duck and sweet potato kibble and have for a long time. My only concern is that Matilda will sit next to me after a meal and let out a belch that smells horrific. Think mixture of rotten eggs, sour milk and vomit. I have to wonder how great her stomach feels.
Would this be enough for you to consider changing foods? Or have a suggestion of something that I could add to her food to help her out?

I wish I had that answer. Mine all burp some serious stink. It's worse b/c Dre likes to get right up to your face, and then belch (she's very classy...). I've often wanted to offer them a tic tac.

Does it happen just once after she eats, or is it an ongoing thing all evening long? If it's just one burp, I wouldn't worry about it -- pugs tend to gulp quite a bit of air while eating, due to the way they scarf up their food.
If it's an all-evening-long thing, though, that's more suggestive of a digestive issue and perhaps her food isn't sitting right with her.

I suppose you could try pre or pro biotics if you think it might be a tummy issue.
I have to say that if my hubby does not chew something properly his stomach will frequently send it back up for re-chewing. And MAN that stinks. If he does it in the car when we're driving home from a meal the windows have to come down immediately. As far as I know he has nothing wrong with his gut so maybe Matilda is just scarfing down her food too fast.

Charcoal biscuits can sometimes help with that. You can find them in any feed store.

This was a slap me in the head DUH moment. Matilda is the worst eater. Thanks for mentioning this!

A couple of things, if she is eating too fast, put a kong in her bowl so that she has to eat around it. It will slow her down. Like Bella said, you might want to consider adding probiotics or a scoop of lowfat plain yogurt to her food.

Do you need to put a kong in your husband's plate Bella?
