Cosmo Update and Pic

So, today was a very crappy rescue day (see Muffin), but whenever the powers that be seem to kick you in your ass, they seem to follow it up with some good news.

First up, Cosmo. He's doing amazing in his foster home. They say he's an angel in a pug's form. He loves everyone and everything. He sleeps with them in the bed, and is sloooowly healing. He still can't run or jump, but his healing powers have amazing everyone. Here he is with his foster brothers:



Second, we had a last minute meet up and the turn out was amazing. We raised almost 600 dollars in donations, and...4 pugs are adoption pending now, including Pippy and Pauly, as a pair.

And, Bobby Hill, the little guy with the eye injury might get to keep his eye. Our vet has done a flap (?) surgery on it, and it's responding well. He has to be at the vet's for about another week because he requires eye drops hourly but everyone there loves him. Again, we are totally blessed with our vet's office. Bobby has learned if he barks, they will let him become the office dog, soo....that's what he does.

We need some good news. Bless his little heart. Seriously, if I was living in Las Vegas, I'd be standing at the the head of the line to adopt him. I have a feeling this little guy is gonna have a home the minute he's ready to go.

I'm not so sure he's going to make it out of his foster's home.

I wouldn't be in the least bit surprised! I hope they can still foster though......

Yay for good news!!

If the flap surgery is what I am thinking, I think my Skeeter had the same procedure. Almost lost his eye too, from abuse in his former home. They sewed his second eyelids closed over his eye, and yes, he had drops very often.

He kept the eye, so I'm praying it works out for Bobby to keep his eye too!!

Yes! We need lots of good news to outweigh the bad.

Yup, I knew his fosters wouldn't be able to part with him. He went for a check up and is doing great, he gained 4 lbs (which he needed!), and should be off crate rest in a couple more weeks.
