x 2 on this.
Correct feeding, moderate exercise and in a couple of months you won't believe it's the same dog, is my bet.

Yup! We think he might have been fed people food. He's been picked up by his foster and she reports he LOVES her kids. He looks like a mini mastiff in the pic she posted, so cute.

He is just darling. How sad he has infections all over. I would love to foster him until he gets all better. Does the vet know what the skin infections are?

Saira, I am continuously amazed by how hard SNPR gets hit. Maybe because I hear about so much of it from you - but I just cannot believe it!

OMG does he ever look like my Rosco. Here is a picture to compare!

The pugs who do come in almost always have some issue now, whereas a few years ago we'd see (mostly) healthy ones. But I think people gave up vet visits when our economy went south.

Agreed. Here, too, it's the same. sigh
He's just darling. What an utterly gorgeous boy! hug dog

I have to add that I am so sick of hugely overweight pugs! I wish people would learn that letting pugs get so big is so unhealthy. I'm surprised their vets don't lecture them-mine gives me a look anytime mine gain a lb. We got in another female yesterday that is over 30 lbs. We've had 6 that have been obese with horrible breathing. Grrr.

You know... people just don't know any better. Even in my own home, if it weren't for me, Edgar would let all our pugs turn into butterballs. Seriously. He has even said to me "A fat pug is a happy pug". Rolling Eyes What a fool.

I think another problem is that people don't know how to properly diet their dogs. I mean, seriously. Ask a vet: they give you Science Diet. censored

I feel in love with that face when you posted this big boy on FB. I'm so
glad he is with his foster family and enjoying live. I know there will be
a perfect forever home in his life very soon!

I just did an awesome home visit with a family who had adopted a pug from the FL rescue before moving here. They are hopefully going to meet Brutus this week. Very Happy

What a face! Hes adorable!

He reminds me a little of one of my coworkers pugs. Ill have to see if I can find a picture of him to post. I always pugsit for his very chubby pugs when he goes out of town.
