Doug my foster pug....video

Post  Snort on 3/7/2011, 3:06 pm

Well, this little guy is too cute for words!
He has found his way to the big bed with the rest of us and LOVES it.
He is behaving very well in the house, despite not being yet neutered, he hasnt had any accidents or marking so I let him out of the belly band, so far so good.
Anyone know much about collapsing trachea? The rescues vet said he could see it on xrays. He may be a teensy bit noisier than my 2 pugs and he has made a little honk noise, but only once or twice while pulling on his harness. I just wonder what the prognosis for CT is.
Here is a little video of Doug doing dinner.....

Damn, he's cute! And yeah, the breathing sounds loud on the video. You might think about one of these harnesses for him--I find they sit lower on the chest and really minimizes the Gag factor in a puller. All my guys use these now:

I order mine from Clean Run:

Not sure about the CT, but he is one cute pug. Glad to hear he's doing well fitting in during his visit.

Btw, I took a peak at your other videos, and I think Sherman swimming is just about the most adorable thing I've ever seen.

What a happy little guy! I know CT's can be treated surgically, depending on certain factors. I now one of our members here had it done on one of her Pugs - was it Jana?

Tahku supposedly has a collapsing trachea, his new home says he's doing fine.

We lost Emma when her trachea collapsed suddenly last month. She was in accute distress and ended up being euthanized. While she was my foster I kept thinking there was something wrong with her trachea, but the vet said no. Next time we get that feeling, we are going to ask for x-rays.

Both pugs were former fosters of mine.

It is Jana. Baby Girl had to have the surgery. There are grades of CT too, just like LP I think! It would depend on his grade if surgery was necessary.

He is adorable, but pretty loud breather! What a happy little guy!
