Looking for Foster Home via Craigslist

Post  Lindsey on 3/23/2011, 11:01 am

Hubby sent this to me this morning.... I wish he would stay off of CL (especially since we haven't lived in SD for 10yrs). What do you all think?? I'm not sure if anyone can help, but maybe?

Special situation- Pug needs temporary/foster home

Date: 2011-03-20, 10:51AM
I have a unique situation and I need some help! We are a military family and my husband is being sent to FL next Saturday for schooling. I am going to be moving back with my family in Orange County after the 30 days is up on our house we live in now. As I save up some money for a deposit on an apartment/house I am going to need someone to foster our pug Sgt Major. My parents have 2 dogs already and because they are renting it is very strict on how many dogs they can have there. It would be a temporary situation, a few months at the most...
He is almost 3 years old (Birthday in July)
He is un-nuetered (he is sensitive to the anesthesia)
He is WONDERFUL with kids of all ages (we have an 8 month old and he loves her)
He is WONDERFUL with other dogs (he does get excited and bark alittle but he's never been agressive)
I'm not sure about cats although I did bottlefeed and foster a few kittens while he was a year old.
He sleeps on the bed with us at night and I would love it if he could sleep on the bed in his foster home.
He is crate trained and we usually put him in his crate when we go somewhere (he doesn't make noise in it)
I will provide all his food, medical care, etc. He is current on all vaccines. I can also afford to pay every month (about $200)
If you think you could be a match and could help us out PLEASE email me and tell me more about yourself and your current home life.
Thanks!
First picture is him with Ashley Brooks from Pit Boss.

Glad she's trying to find a situation that will enable her to keep him and not give him up. I could never let an unknown stranger answering an ad look after my dogs.

I would help out a military family if I could. I wouldn't search on CL, but it would be something I would do for friends.

How do they know he's sensitive to aenesthesia?

I've seen similar ads on CL, I have no idea if it works or not, they are trying.
