The Wild IG
We've been getting quite our share of abandoned dogs in the 'hood lately. We are close enough to the river than I think people think it is a great place to drop a dog. However, the dogs we've been finding have all been small. my neighbour and I rescued, altered and rehomed a min pin a few weeks ago. The last week, we have the "rarely seen in the wild" Italian Greyhound (possibly with a little Chi thrown in or just some bad breeding). She needs to be spayed, but she is a sweet thing. Sometimes the ears are up, other times they're down. I've always liked IGs, which is why she is staying with my friend at the moment.

Re: The Wild IG
Shouldn't have any trouble rehoming that cutie!
I agree, badly bred or some non-IG in there.
Don't know about over there, but Iggy's in this country have really suffered at the hands of show breeders breeding them finer and finer to the point where their leg bones snap just from running and jumping. This little one looks like that would never be a problem.
I worry about Siamese and Oriental cats here too, they do not have the robustness of the cats I remember from years ago and I find the extremely fine ones quite unattractive.

She's very pretty - but, I agree, looks like some chi in there.
Amazing how many "strays" there are. It gets too cold here in the winter for strays to last very long.

Re: The Wild IG
She was spayed today and NOT pregnant! She also has a home with a retired couple. They checked out great and LOVED her. They will get her Friday.
Tomorrow morning I'm getting 3 four week old kittens to foster. I'm scared of these. 2 are orange.

Really? So you are going to change your username?
At four weeks the cuteness can be lethal - I understand your fear! Sharing the terror by posting pics is the best therapy.

Re: The Wild IG
I will take pics of these cuties in a bit. They are here and crated and have the soft carrier in the crate for extra protection from the "elements" ie: pugs and cats. There has been some tiny hissing but now they are snuggled up in a threesome having a nap. Yes, lethal cuteness indeed.
