Benson has Landed!

Our newest foster, Benson, is now here...

He has a weird growth on his face, it looks like a bunch of warts with hairs growing out of it. It is barely attached to his face. Since Polar Pug Rescue is absolutely strapped for money while we get funds for Rosie's surgery (our liver-shunt pug), Linda (my roommate) has decided she is going to pay for Benson's surgery to get the growth removed. It will be a donation from her to PPraF. Thank you Linda!

He was pretty nervous when he first got here. Heck, he only came into rescue a couple days ago. But is is now almost 9 PM and he's settled under my feet at my computer desk. He seems really itchy, scraping that growth on his face along chairs and the couch, and he's got some scabs in his ears- although they are not infected, and his belly is pretty pink. I wonder if allergies has something to do with the growth? We'll know when it gets taken off and biopsied.

yikes! poor puppy. I'm sure he'll feel so much better after it's removed. what a great thing for Linda to do! can't wait to see the "after" pics. he's getting a makeover!

Linda ROCKS!!! That is sawsome of you to do Linda, he will feel so much better with it off. I am sure he feels like something is ALWAYS just out of the corner of his eye. I know it would bug me! He has a sweet face and looks like a happy guy! Can't want to see his "makeover"!!!!

Poor guy! We had a pug in with a growth that size on his foot (it was benign), but I haven't seen one that big on their poor little faces before. You guys are great!

YAY for Linda. He's a cutie. Bob has a huge growth on his chest that hung down. We called it the chest testicle. Hope it all goes well for this boy.
