Gregory's eyes
My little foster boy, Gregory, had his re=check with the eye vet for his double cherry eye surgery and his corneal ulcer. I'm happy to say that all looks good!
He still has to stay in the cone for another week just to be extra safe on the cherry eye deal (since this is his second surgery for it), but his drops are WAY down, the corneal ulcer is healed and we're all very happy not to have to wake up in the middle of the night to do eye drops.
He continues to be an excellent little dog and will be a pure pleasure for some home.

He really is extra special. Not a single behavioural issue (thank heavens). And so far, his eye issues seem to be solved. He is dog and cat friendly, loves ALL people and is just generally as easy a foster as I've ever had.

Glad everything is looking good - hope his forever family is just around the corner.

Should be easy to place, do you have any good apps on him?

This thread makes me think of that contact lens commercial where the guy insists he has "special eyes".... Look here with your special eyes....

I've got to admit that when I saw the title of the thread, my heart sank, and I thought, "oh no! Blanche's House of Blighted Eyeballs is at it again!" I'm so glad that it was good news, and he'll get adopted out quickly.

Yeah, I probably should have thought of that given my history with eyeballs......
Interestingly, there isn't a lot of interest in him. Not sure why. Maybe folks are worried about the cherry eye returning (which it could). We have one home where he'd be an only dog--sounds like a good home, but I hate to take a home like that when there ARE dogs that need an only dog home. And I'd like for Greg to have a playmate in situ. The other app has an 80 lb doodle who is, supposedly, good with small dogs. So not so sure about that. I'm not anti big dog--but Gregory doesn't know his own small size and could get hurt without any one meaning to hurt him.
And that's pretty much it for apps for him. Really surprising.
