Dear lord, I thought that professionals had dropped the phrase 'unplaceable' along with other ugly phrases. It makes me so damned angry that people won't work with a dog---puppy mill survivors are not throw aways. Why is anyone fostering or placing or accepting a dog if they don't know how to rebuild it when it enters their home. So glad she has come to you, I am sure I am preaching to the choir when I say her turn around will be so rewarding. Shoot, I am still pissed off.

Tears are in my eyes for how lucky Rosie is to have found you. We lost our
precious Mil girl just two months ago and I know how rewarding it is when
their love for you comes shinning through.

I'm a sucker for Seniors (and my Hubby's a saint!) UPDATE
Rosie has landed ! (After a delay due to mssing, then found health cert)
She is clearly a Mill Survivor.....and just a lovely lady :) She has been here for 24 hours and she is taking treats, making eye contact, and following hubby and I everywhere. She is shy of fast movements and loud or unfamiliar sounds....so what?
We' re looking forward to Rosie conecting to her inner Pugness....and she is well on her way :)
(I won't vent now about 'un adoptable / un placeable' status....but I will :) )
I will post pics soon!

Sadly, it's astonishing what is considered unadoptable these days. We've had two dogs that were truly unadoptable due to out of the blue, dangerous aggression. But it seems these days that any dog who doesn't walk into your house and immediately settle into your routine is unadoptable.
The Mill dogs are treasures and most make huge strides within a relatively short period of time considering what they've been through. Heck, Maudie had her issues, but overcame most of them. Never did learn how to go down stairs, but figured out coming up quickly. And she remained afraid of being picked up. Once you had her up, she was happy, but the whole reaching down to get her would make her flatten to the ground. Even Hazel, who has a remarkably intact spirit for a mill girl, isn't always happy being picked up.
Onward and upward, Rosie. It's all gravy now.

Rosie, you landed in high gravy, as we used to say in the South. I can't wait to hear stories about your discovery of your inner-fawnness.
