Purebred pug my sweet Polish/Scottish behind! Does the breeder think that everyone is (a) stupid or (b) blind?

In our neck of the woods out west we see a huge number of "bugs, frugs, chugs" which are all Pug wannabees. I have had people tell me proudly their Bug (Boston/Pug) is purebred. How you ask.....well the mom was all Pug and the dad was all Boston so therefore offspring is purebred. Have also met somebody with a CKC registered dog they brought in from the US. Only problem was their CKC is Continental Kennel Club and not Canadian Kennel Club. By the time they paid to bring the dog in it was way to expensive to send the dog back and the owner is out a bucket full of money! Lovely dog but not what they expected. Champ looks like he has a lot of doganality not to be confused with personality.

We see the same here in Ontario. The big ones here is Ori-Pei--pug/shar pei. And Jugs. Puggles seem to be declining in popularity given the number that are being dumped in rescues and shelters.

Foster mom says he's a decent guy--just busy and boxer-ish and appears to have had no training and what training he may have had was done in Tamil--which we don't speak.

He's beginning to settle down and learn the rules.

There are a number of online "kennel clubs" of which the CKC (continental Kennel club is one).

And I'm sure that according to the Continental Kennel Club, he is a pug. And so is this table that my computer is sitting on. Is that awful place still around?

He's cute, he looks like a jug to me with the snout and the tail. I home he finds an awesome home!

Could be. He's really big for a jug. But who knows.

Blanche - do you remember Vincent? We thought he was a jug and the pictures I have on file are fairly similar to those of Champ.

How much does he weigh, in the picture he looks small. I had a pug/boxer mix one of my classes years ago who was the coolest dog! He looked like a big giant black pug and he weighed around 50 pounds. His name was Rufus, I loved that dog.

Actually I always thought Vincent was a puggle. He was very beagle-y looking and acting to me.

This was sold to my brother as a F1 puggle from a rescue....he is adorable, but yeah not an F1....F2 or 3.....

Shocked

Docking the tail on your boy probably because it didn't curl and they could not pass it off as a boxer or a real pug.......poor lad!I hope he gets an awsome home.
