How many rescues do we have represented?

Post  Amanda on 8/22/2011, 10:32 am

Will give more detail later but I'm trying to find out how many rescues we have represented here. If you're an official representative of a rescue, can you please post it here along with the state(s) you serve? Also, whether you do just pugs or all breed? Thanks! I don't want to miss anybody.

Pugalug Pug Rescue. Province of Ontario primarily with some overlap into Quebec. We do take pug mixes depending on how jammed our foster wait list is.

Speaking of Dogs. All breed rescue. Province of Ontario.

Long Run Retirement. Thoroughbred rescue. Province of Ontario. I'm not technically a rep for the rescue, however--more a useful acquaintance....

I'm not official just a volunteer

If that counts then I volunteer, transport and foster and help fundraise for GMPR, Green Mountain Pug Rescue in VT, that covers VT, NH, Maine and Upstate NY from Albany North to Canada.

I'm in this category too-- I volunteer, but I'm not on the board or anything. I'm not sure how official "official" is, so count me or not, depending on your own definition. I volunteer for MAPR. Pugs and pug mixes, serving SC, NC, VA, eastern TN, MD, and DC. And WV? Not sure about that one.

Cental Florida Pug Rescue (CFPR) covering most of FL with a focus across Central FL. We are breed specific. Will take an occassional mix if it comes in with another pug... or the folks tell us it is a pug but it turns out to be a puganeese, bug or something else.

I help out DFW Pug Rescue with transports, home visits, and shelter pulls for the state of LA. I just consider myself a friend of DFW Pug Rescue. I'm a volunteer with Puppy Love ME which is in Louisiana and Maine and an all breed rescue. And I do pitbull assessments at my local shelters when asked from groups that I've worked with in MN.

I am a past foster mom and associated with the MN Midwest Pug Rescue. I am not sure what their current statis is on pug mixes. The rescue serves MN but also some in Iowa, and Wisconsin possibly in the Dakotas.

If anyone needs the email of the current head of the rescue I have it.

Like a few others mentioned, I'm just a volunteer for Pug Rescue of FL but used to be on the board, adoption coordinator, website, secretary and I can't remember what else. In any event, if you want to count me, they cover the state of FL.
