There are a few Mich rescues. Carol (Lilos mom?) is from Pug Rescue Network, which is in Mich.

Jerry (and Carol) are from Pug Rescue Network. Are they helping out or do you still need help? I think it's like 3 hours from me but I'd be willing to drive out there over the weekend.

Hey Wendi, funny that this came up. We were recently contacted by someone who adopted from you guys & then moved to IL. They were asking about low cost vet care because the pug was due for their yearly checkup, shots, etc. and money's tight. They also mentioned that they were going to be looking for boarding options because they're going out of town soon (which I couldn't help but wonder, how they could afford boarding & going out of town if they can't afford a vet visit?). I can pm you the name if you're interested. I have a feeling that they may be contacting us to take the pug later on down the road.

Now I'm curious...

Did it end up being the same person that called the other rescue? Is there any consequences to the person that adopted from a rescue and later dumps the dog in a shelter??? I'm glad the pug is safely in the right place...but doesn't it bring up some hard questions and some intense emotions?
